About

In 2017, Carrie moved back to Colorado after years of living and working back east as an artist and art professor. Having grown up in Utah and Colorado, she longed to return to the mountain west to raise her own daughter, surrounded by the love and warmth of family. This deep-rooted desire to reconnect with her origins also inspired her to cultivate a space that embodies the spirit of the region and its community. Bringing with her a history of baking, community building, and all things creative, the Mountain Fountain was born.

The establishment serves not merely as a business but as a gathering place where community flourishes and bonds are formed. Over the years, we have been so fortunate to meet, befriend and work with some incredibly wonderful people who have become integral to our journey. This community is immensely important to us, and we view each customer as a new addition to the supportive, caring network we have built through and because of our amazing staff, who are the very heart of this little operation. Their dedication and passion shine through in everything we do, making the experience at The Mountain Fountain truly unique.

Part of our mission is to mentor young people, providing guidance and support as they navigate their paths. What a complete honor and joy it is to be part of the lives and journeys of these amazing human beings! We take pride in nurturing their talents and helping them grow.

We strive to infuse all we do here with love because we believe it is the foundation of everything in life. Love inspires creativity, fosters connection, and strengthens community ties. At The Mountain Fountain, you’ll find this love reflected in our baked goods, other food and beverage offerings, and the warm smiles that welcome every guest.

We make a variety of gluten free baked goods from brownies to pot pies, from lasagnas to soups and salads and everything in between. We source organic and local ingredients for all of our house-made products and we frequent our local organic farms and ranches, finding the best produce and meat for our products and shelves. All the coffee we serve in our coffee bar is organic and sustainably sourced by local roasters from our community.

Our pies and quiches are so delicious, and we truly do make each one with love. So come and try one of the best espresso drinks in the area, paired perfectly with a slice of our delightful pie, savory quiche, or a custom-made sandwich filled with your choice of fresh ingredients, and see what we mean.
